DANCE MASTERY INTENSIVE™
Program Policies & Safeguarding™
DMI policies protect the dancer both online and in the physical training environment that remains central to dance development. They clarify attendance, eligible private-session changes, communication, parent/guardian involvement, recording, images, privacy, faculty conduct and professional boundaries.
Why this matters: DMI should add artistic and developmental capability without encouraging unsafe movement spaces, replacing qualified health care, blurring media permissions or creating confusion about the continuing role of the dancer’s home studio.
Physical Safety
Dancers are responsible for an appropriate movement space, safe flooring, suitable attire/footwear, adequate camera placement and following faculty instructions about modification or stopping movement. Online instruction does not replace medical, physiotherapy or other licensed health advice.
Minors, Recording & Participation
Parents/guardians are the primary administrative contact. BGE/BGIPA operates a recorded educational, artistic and professional environment online and in person, including private instruction. Where passive camera-off participation is available, the family is responsible for controlling the minor student’s camera, microphone, displayed name/profile, background and other user-controlled identifying information.
Featured dance/movement, demonstration, coaching, adjudication, MasterClass, hot-seat, performance, presentation and similar participation is recorded participation under the applicable Standing Commercial Media Authorization™. Commercial/public use of private-instruction material follows the separate standing private-instruction media election.
BGE may edit, excerpt, crop and extract clips from authorized material and has sole discretion whether to publish or feature any dancer or performance. Permission creates no right to publicity, screen time or inclusion.
