BGIPA SAFEGUARDING, TRUST & PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES™
High Standards Need Strong Protections.
Safeguarding is not a separate compliance page sitting beside the educational model. It is part of how BGIPA earns the right to work with students, families, professionals and partner communities.
Age-appropriate participation
Minors require appropriate parent/guardian involvement, consent and communication practices. Developmental expectations must reflect age and maturity.
Professional boundaries
Faculty and contributors need clear roles, approved communication channels, confidentiality expectations and limits on personal/commercial relationships with students.
Non-poaching & relationship protection
BGIPA should strengthen trusted teachers, studios, choirs and partners rather than using institutional access to recruit away their students or clients. Professionals likewise should not use BGIPA access as a private client-acquisition channel.
Recording, privacy & data
Recordings, images, student information and family details require appropriate purpose, permission, storage and access. Public use should never be assumed merely because material exists.
Health & specialist scope
Artists may need medical, psychological, physiotherapy or other regulated care. Educational faculty and Guest Experts must remain within their competence and credentials.
Conduct & reporting concerns
Students, families and professionals need clear routes for raising concerns. Serious issues should be documented, escalated and handled according to applicable policy and law rather than informally minimized.
Trust requires truth.
Claims, testimonials, opportunities and professional access should be represented accurately. Safeguarding includes protecting people from misleading promises as well as interpersonal harm.
Excellence does not excuse blurred boundaries. Excellence requires better ones.
Families, students, faculty and partners should be able to understand the standards and boundaries that govern participation before a difficult situation requires them.
