Cassandra’s role is to listen first: to the voice, the repertoire, the opportunity and the larger context. She brings the diagnostic pattern recognition of a master voice teacher who has developed hundreds of singers; the evaluative perspective of an international examiner and adjudicator who has assessed thousands of singers, instrumentalists, bands, orchestras, choirs and ensembles and made consequential scholarship, award and advancement decisions; and the institutional perspective of an Artistic Director, General Manager and founder of performing-arts organizations. From there, she can work directly with the artist or curate the specialist expertise that best serves the moment. The standard is not maximum intervention. The standard is the right intervention.
