The Vocal Mastery Assessment™ is developmental. It is designed to create clarity and direction. It is not a competition score, medical diagnosis or guarantee of admission to a selective pathway.

Cassandra Bourne is a master voice teacher, award-winning Canadian soprano and International Examiner and Adjudicator since 2006. Her work has included assessing thousands of performances and developing singers toward examinations, scholarships, educational placements, major opportunities and professional careers.
She listens beyond whether a performance sounds good today. She considers what the singer understands, what the instrument is coordinating, what may be compensating and which intervention can help the student move forward without carrying the same unresolved challenge into the next stage.

Is the assessment required for CORE?
No. It is an optional $300 USD add-on for singers and families who would benefit from individualized expert evaluation before establishing priorities.
Is this an admissions audition?
No. CORE does not require an admissions audition. The assessment is developmental and does not rank the singer against a single ideal.
Do I purchase this separately for ELITE?
ELITE follows its own post-enrolment placement process using the student’s information and recent performance material. Follow the instructions provided during ELITE onboarding.
Does the assessment guarantee Director’s Studio placement?
No. Director’s Studio is selective and has a separate consideration and interview process. No assessment or interview guarantees an offer.
What recordings should I submit?
The Academy will provide the current submission requirements after purchase so that the material supplied is useful for the review.
