Where The BGIPA Table™ is included, BGE hosts the meal. It is not an upsell, not a networking reception and not another class. It is hospitality: You are our guests. You belong here.
“What will you carry forward from today?”
One question can be enough. A teacher may invite a few reflections, then allow conversation to become conversation. Students sit beside the teacher they have known through a screen. Parents meet other parents supporting serious artistic development. Classmates discover what it feels like to occupy the same table.
Why this belongs in the curriculum.
The performance creates artistic insight. The table creates connection. Reflection turns experience into meaning. Repeated over time, these moments create shared memory—and shared memory is part of how an institution becomes a community.
The dinner itself is not monetized. Sponsorship may underwrite eligible Cultural Access costs, but from the family’s perspective The BGIPA Table™ remains BGE hospitality when included.
