QUESTIONS SOPHISTICATED BUYERS SHOULD ASK
Executive Due Diligence FAQ™
Before inviting an outside advisor into an established enterprise, you should understand the role, boundaries, process and risk.
Why BGE if we already have internal resources?
BGE does not assume they should be replaced. We work across strategic gaps and coordinate positioning, trust, relationships, authority, opportunity, conversion, capacity and implementation.
Who actually does the work?
Cassandra Bourne leads strategic architecture and executive decision work in founder-led advisory engagements. Specialist or regulated expertise remains with appropriately qualified professionals.
Will you need sensitive client data?
Not as a default. BGE practices data minimization and does not seek unnecessary end-client personal, account, legal, medical or security information.
How do you work with compliance and legal?
The client remains responsible for regulated activity and approvals. Client-facing materials remain subject to the required internal, dealer, regulatory, legal or compliance process.

Can you work with our existing agency, CRM or advisors?
Yes. The objective is coordinated value creation, not displacement for its own sake.
What is outside scope?
BGE does not provide securities, investment, portfolio-management, financial-planning, insurance, tax, accounting, medical or legal advice unless a separate qualified professional is expressly engaged.
What do you measure?
Measures may include implementation milestones, opportunity creation, relationship activity, authority assets, conversion-stage movement, capacity improvements and other agreed leading indicators.
How does BGE define accountability and outcomes?
BGE is accountable for the agreed strategy, architecture and implementation work. Success measures are defined around the areas the engagement can responsibly influence, with external market, regulatory and third-party factors made visible in the decision process.
What happens if we miss meetings or delay approvals?
The governing service agreement controls. For fixed-term paid engagements, reserved executive capacity and client-caused delays do not automatically extend the engagement or scheduled payment dates.
How does BGE recommend the right level of engagement?
BGE begins with the enterprise objective, the evidence available, the implementation requirements and the value that can realistically be created. We then explain the recommended architecture, responsibilities, dependencies and expected value clearly enough for leadership to evaluate the decision with confidence.
How do we know whether BGE is the right fit?
The due-diligence process is designed to create clarity before an engagement begins. Leadership should understand the opportunity, the proposed architecture, the evidence supporting it, the responsibilities involved and why BGE is well positioned to contribute value at this stage.
What Happens After the Diagnostic?
Yes. A diagnostic, consultation, assessment or previous micro-yes does not obligate the next yes. You retain the right to question, compare, reconsider and decline before entering a new commitment.
What happens after 90 days?
We assess what was built, what evidence exists and the next responsible decision: transition internally, continue selected implementation, begin a new scope, or conclude.
